That same year, the City of West Hollywood gave her the Key to the City on Stormy Daniels Day, which is celebrated on May 23rd. Currently, Daniels has been nominated for Outstanding Host for the reality series For The Love of DILFS on OutTV. Her surge into the political arena happened in 2018 when former President Trump directed his attorney Michael Cohen to pay Daniels $130,000 to silence her from speaking about the affair they had in 2006. The falsification of business records to conceal this payment to Daniels led to Trump being charged with 34 felony counts, Daniels having to testify in court, and Trump subsequently being convicted of those crimes on May 30, 2024
