Formed in August 2014, Founding members Matt Hall (Singer/Guitarist/songwriter) and Cody Walker (Drummer) had an idea for a new band after their musical endeavors had been at a stand still. Cody contacted Andrew Range (Guitarist/songwriter), Matt Hall brought Billie Smith (bass) in to be part of this budding project. Together within a couple weeks they began playing open mic nights in their local rural towns of Carrolton and Jerseyville, IL. Jamming through the songs that Matt Hall had written and the first group written song "Another Lover's Night Alone". They began to create a buzz, and gained their first full band show at a local taco shop in Carrolton, IL during the Greene County Days Festival. The music was a hit amongst the crowd and the band was asked to play a charity event to benefit the Jerseyville Youth Soccer League, to which they took the opportunity to give back to the kids. Yet again another great reaction from the crowd so they decided to employ Andrew Range's contacts in St. Louis and booked their first St. Louis show to break into the growing Scene. Fubar was the location for this first show, Along with Head North (NY), Old State, and Even Then on October 27th, 2014. They played to a packed crowd and the energy was electric. With a show booked November 14th , 15th, 23rd, and 24th, after the show they turned their attention to preparing for yet another show. On November 5th, a day that would change this band forever, they lost their dear friend and bandmate Billie Smith. The music was part of the legacy left by Billie and the band decided to continue playing to carry on his memory. They kept their commitment to the November 14th, 15th, 23rd, and 24th shows, and played with the bass position vacant to honor their fallen brother. They also booked more shows throughout December 2014 on the 12th and 20th. As well as having their first radio interview on 1380 the x in St. Louis, mo on December 13, 2014. They capped off 2014 with an amazing live performance at The Mad Magician on December 20th with The Few (St. Louis, MO). With a New Year approaching and many show opportunities, the band began searching for a bass player to become part of this journey with them. They added Andrew Range's brother Doug Range to kick off 2015. With a show booked for January 15th they had to work to get tight and make the impact they needed. The show came and they played to a full house at Pop Night Club in Sauget, IL winning the first round of The Battle For Pointfest (St. Louis, MO festival). They began booking shows and filling up their weekends with dates to showcase their music. Due to taking a new job Andrew's brother Doug was no longer able to be part of the band so they sought out the help of their friend Caleb Elmore (Bass) to continue the momentum. With many shows coming and recording sessions to document the music created to this point March 2015 looked to be the busiest the band had ever been. With April 2015 fast approaching they were offered an opening spot for St. Louis's own Tear Out The Heart on April 17th. They played to a sold out crowd along with The Former Me (STL), Wings Of The Mourning (STL), and A Promise To Burn (STL). With that show in the books they finished their record that they recorded in a converted breeze way with Chris Himmel (Country Artist) and were offered their first Headlining spot at Pop's Nigh Club in Sauget, IL on May 8th, 2015. They soon Booked up the month of June 2015 with dates including the 4th at cicero's (STL), 12th at cicero's (STL), 20th Blacksheep Cafe (Springfield, IL), 26th (Evansville, IN), 27th (Evansville, IN), and 28th The Mad Magician (STL). The weekend Trip June 26th-28th was pivital for the band going away from home for the first time but they had their dear friends Forgetting January with them and they documented the events of the weekend as well as Released their first single from Their Album "Late Night Thoughts" called "Another Lover's Night Alone" with a lyric video. The album Release date was Set for September 11th, 2015, they began preparing for the big day that seemed like it would never come by playing more shows through July 2015 and August 2015 with Words Like Daggers and a performance at Heatwave Festival in STL with Pick Your Poison (KY). Just a little over a year since the conception of this band they released a full length record although the quality of the recordings was not remarkable, it cemented those songs in the history of this band. September 11th, 2015 was an incredible night for the band with a capacity crowd, black lights lighting the room, glow in the dark art on the walls, balloons ready to drop from the rafters and who else who they have as part of the night then their Best friends in Forgetting Januay. Also joining them was The Cinema Story, The Winks, and Equal Squeeze. What a triumphant night it was for the band and their Friends! With the show over it was time to turn focus to the next big night on October 9th where they graced the Pops Night Club Stage (Sauget, IL) with Great friends City Of Parks (STL) and Ashland To a highly energetic crowd that didnt stop moving the entire night. It seemed as if Inner Outlines had began to become part of a growing trend in St. Louis, MO where the fans became the focus of the night. On November 21st, 2015 they invited their friends in New American Classic (Springfield, MO) to join them at cicero's with Forgetting January, Captains Courageous, and The Former me where the crowd was yet again at capacity and created yet another stamp in their history books. December 2015 was another moment that would help to Define this band by bringing in Joe Mayhaus (Bass/vocalist) and Andrew Wills (guitar/Vocalist/Songwriter) who are part of Forgetting January to solidify the lineup and create new Music. The line up now Being Matt Hall (Vocals), Cody Walker (Drums) Dylan McCormack (Guitar), Caleb Elmore (Bass), and Andrew Range (Guitar), they imidiately went to the studio with Kevin Gate (Producer) of Springfield Missouri who has recorded and produced records for The Ready SET – (Warner Bros/Sire/Decaydance and Razor & Tie)
